Can i get chlamydia from an uninfected partner?

me and my boyfriend have been going out for 5 months.
We have both given oral and have had sex
I possibly have chlamydia
and when i told him he started freaking out saying i cheated on him when i was thinking the same of him. we both denied it but i don't know if he's honest
so i was wondering if it is possible to get chlamydia even if your faithful?

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease, and you need to be with someone who already has it, you can't catch it any other way.

However, most times, chlamydia sufferers will have NO symptoms. This means that if you or your boyfriend have had previous sexual partners who had chlamydia, you now both have it, even if neither of you has been unfaithful.

If you do have a reason to be worried, please get yourself tested! Left untreated, chlamydia can lead to all sorts of serious conditions and infertility.

You can read more about it here http://medicinezine.com/sexual-health/chlamydia-symptoms-testing-treatment/ - what it is, what the symptoms are (if any), what you can do for treatment.

If you are embarrased to go to your doctor (as many people are when it comes to sexually transmitted diseases) you can get a test online - there's a link on the website above. But please do get tested, both of you. It is a dangerous thing.
